We will have two services on Easter Sunday, March 31st: A 7:00 AM Sunrise Service in the upper parking lot – Please bring your lawn chairs! In the event of inclement weather, this service will be held indoors.

Our 10:30 AM Traditional Service in the Sanctuary – with special music by the Centennial Brass, organist Ronn Lowe, and the Covenant Sanctuary Choir, directed by Richard Rudolph. Childcare provided at the 10:30 AM service for children ages three and younger. No Sunday School on Easter.

Please join us on Maundy Thursday, March 28th at 7:00 PM for a Tenebrae Service with Communion. The Sanctuary Choir will be accompanied by Ronn Lowe on organ and piano, and special guest Julee Hickcox on flute.

"What's Good About Good Friday?" On Good Friday, March 29th at 6:00 PM all are invited to a joint worship service at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren (2138 McVitty Road SW, Roanoke) along with Windsor Hills United Methodist Church.

Who won our friendly "co-opetition’? Chicken Noodle – with 1,280 cans donated! 905 cans of Tomato soup were also given to assist the families served by the Presbyterian Community Center (PCC). These 2,185 cans will warm some tummies and souls in the next few months. Thank you Covenant family, friends, and Preschool for supporting the 2024 Souper Bowl of Caring! Special thanks to our Youth & volunteers for counting, sorting, & delivering the soup to the PCC!

Thank you to all who helped make our Preschool Fundraiser such a huge success! The spaghetti dinner was a hit, and the auction and raffle prizes had everyone on the edge of their seats.

We couldn't have done it without the support of our community. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of our sponsors for their contributions. Special thanks to everyone who helped with the dinner and all who donated for the auction and raffles. We are so grateful for your generosity and support!

Adults will be meeting in the Blue Room watching and studying The Call: The Life and Message of the Apostle Paul by Adam Hamilton.

Covenant Connections Summer 2023

We look forward to seeing you at Covenant soon!

On March 10th Covenant’s Earth Care Team received word that Covenant has been certified as an Earth Care Congregation by PCUSA through its Presbyterian Hunger Program!

What does this mean? First, Covenant met the 25 points required in each of 4 ministry areas: Worship (105), Education (62), Facilities (91); and Outreach (93); Total Points of 351 - just with things Covenant was already doing. Second, Covenant submitted its plans for 2021. And third, Covenant’s Session agreed to the Earth Care Pledge.

So why did Covenant do this? Simply put, God entrusted creation and its care to humankind (Genesis 1:28) . . .

Earth Care at Covenant was created to promote, educate, and provide practical ways for the congregation to use the earth and care for it. Find more information in the April and May Covenant Connections Newsletters.

On Sunday, April 25th we celebrated Earth Care Sunday with a special worship service focusing on the wonder and magnificence of God’s creation and our role in caring for it, concluding with the planting of a butterfly bush!

Covenant Connections - April 2021

Thank you - Covenant Presbyterian, Covenant Preschool staff and families, and many other friends - for keeping your plastic bags and soft plastic out of the landfill and instead donating them to Covenant Preschool's TREX Recycling Project!!! Our church family, with your phenomenal help, has donated 878 pounds of used soft plastic since October 1, 2020!

Elizabeth has worked hard on this project. She has collected, sorted, weighed, and stuffed all 878 pounds into the Allen's car week by week to be dropped off for recycling! Look at all the plastic bags being kept out of the landfill!!! Yeah! And in return, TREX donated a beautiful new bench, made of recycled soft plastic, to Covenant’s Preschool! It arrived this week!!! Soon Mark Overacker will anchor this beautiful bench on Covenant’s Preschool Playground! Please keep those plastics coming to Covenant Presbyterian! This greatly helps the environment, and Elizabeth absolutely loves this project and your supporting it!!! Thank you, Elizabeth, for your hard work and dedication! Up next … bench #2 for the Preschool! All we need is you!!!

Loving God. Loving people. Making disciples.
